A simple question: Is fb2k able to play AAC files?

Short answer:  No you can not play aac files in foobar!

Long answer: Yes you can!  You will need to download the mp4 plugin by John33 (http://homepage.ntlworld.com/jfe1205/foo_mp4.zip) or Case (http://www.saunalahti.fi/cse/foobar2000/foo_mp4.zip) for foobar, and convert your aac files to mp4
