Wow!  I've been cleaning up my music collection in the past few weeks and have messed around with various rippers/taggers/converters, mostly for linux (but some that run under wine too), and have been mostly disappointed by bugs, lack of features, or non-user-friendly interfaces.  Finally I have found a tagging program that does exactly what I want, exactly the way I want it!  Plus it runs just fine in linux using wine.  Thank you so much!

Hey I am getting track info from Discog and it doesn't have composer info

Does it downloads additional covers like back cover, disc cover?

Only covers. Most of albums in online databases contain only front cover art.
My concept is that the front covers is a necessary and sufficient condition for comfortable work with music files in any software and hardware.

I really like this program with the little bit of time I have spent with it.

I'm having a problem though. When I go to clear out the comment sections of tags I get constant crashing, especially when they say what they were encoded with.

Any suggestions?

any chance to add TagScanner to the context menu? (like "scan this folder with tagscanner")
I liked that about Tag&Rename (which I abandoned now :>)

When I use TAG Processor for an album, I get the track info in this format: xx/xx (or x/x, or xxx/xxx, depending on the settings).

Is there a way to get simply XX?

Another question: maybe I'm missing something, but... is there the chance to get the cover art (folder.jpg) downloaded automatically when importing tags from online databases? I know that to click on "save cover art to externalk file" is not a big problem... but often I forget to do and so I miss lots of covers...

You can clear total tracks in tag editor, just select files, clear value and click Save.

Program embed coverart into files when you get album info from internet. If you need also external files ? you can rightclick in filelist and select Export cover to file function.

Thanks, I just hoped in an automatic setting for those functions.
Still a great software, btw!!

With version 5.1.555 track numbers are incrementing by two instead of one when saving through tracks.  Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Can it automatically number the tracks from 1 to [total number]? How?

Select the first track with with you wish to start, enter the beginning number, click on the track button and then continually click save through the subsequent tracks.

I sometimes like to renumber multidisc sets so that the numbering continues on from the previous discs.  This is how I discovered the problem.  I reverted back to 5.0 since it doesn't have this problem.
