Android app - bizarre "err: null" popup

I have been getting this strange error on the fb2k app on Android (6.0.1) where every time I play a track "err: null" pops up. The track plays fine, but the message comes up every single time and it's annoying. This happened before and after I updated the app to the latest version. Is there any way of fixing this? I've heard of someone getting the same error with other audio players.
