DVD surround playback

I'm kind of new to Foobar but I'd like to know what kind of surround support it has. I can do some cool 3D audio programming, which means that I can take 5 streams of audio meant for surround speakers, and map them to virtual speakers for use with headphones. If anybody wants to help out I'd love to write that code, I just don't know how to access the different DVD audio streams with DirectX or whatever. Later!
