Hi Folks,
I'm a taper and I've decided to accomodate some of my Deadhead, Ratdog, and Govt Mule friends who seem to be much more interested in FLAC as the compression codec (I suppose it's cause of increased compression over shn, but I really haven't taken the time to do the research). Anyway, I found this forum (Great ONE BTW!!!!) and I was hoping that someone with fair knowledge of compression codecs can recommend a good Windows GUI for FLAC which either calls the codec or directly incorporates it.
URLs would be very helpful as well as any suplementary commentary as to plusses or minuses.
Thanks,
Peace,
Tom

The official FLAC page download page, about half way down has a list of frontends and other programs. The most popular, I would guess, is probably FLAC Frontend.

Hey Thanks for the link zoom!... I'll give it a looksee, I was on there but I didn't think of putting the compression protocol in as the subdomain... That's cool. I should've tried that. do it a bit with linux apps @ work.
Thanks Again,
Tom
Thanks, that's helped me too..!!
standard answer:
foobar2000,
but this program offers you way more than a flac frontend.
You could also use Monkey's Audio (the frontend, not the codec).
