Does ALAC support gapless yet?

I'm getting motivated again to do some lossless encoding and I wanted to check to see if ALAC still fails to support gapless music files.  I believe the other shortcoming of ALAC was the inability to store album art.

Are these limitations still in effect?

AFAIK, Apple Lossless always has been able to.  You were probably thinking of FLAC there, but that can now, too.
