I'm posting the encoding on 3 profiles. While, standard and extreme didn't put up any warning, insane did -

WARNING:
There still occured 1 SCF clippings due to a restriction of StreamVersion 7.
Use the '--scale' method to avoid additional distortions. Note that this
file already has annoying distortions due to slovenly CD mastering.

What is SCF clipping? Why does it appear in insane profile? what should be the value of x? how is this value determined?

OK guys ... The previous code display was taken off my cousin's computer. Here's the encode results in my computer. Note that I didn't use the rip from my cousin but ripped again in my system. I haven't cross checked for the CRC (I have asked him to send me the info - awaiting results . The key note is no warning in this case. If the SCF is due to mastering defect, then drives don't matter, isn't it? The ripper I used is Pioneer DVD-115ME/Compaq DVD-115 and my cousin's is a Samsung DVD drive- don't remember the model.

edit : perhaps it is obvious - mine is a PIII @ 667Mhz while my cousin's system is a PIV @ 1.5GHz
