Thanks again, guys.
Did I miss any filetype or do you wanna see any icon changed?
I've just slightly updated Vorbis icon and made a new one for it...

2 Codec and Audio Software developers, who happened to be HA member: guys, you're free to use any icon of this set. Just let me know if you would

Sorry for asking a really stupid question here.

How do I actually use or install those icons (winXP) .

Can anyone maybe give me some quick tips or maybe a link?

Depends on what you mean by "use"

1) If you wanna make a new icon for music CD you should create autorun.inf file with this text:
-----8<-------
[AutoRun]
open=Autorun.exe
icon=icon.icl,0
----->8--------
Where autorun.exe is an application you want to load on CD startup (remove this string if none).
Icon.icl,0 means that you use icon No 0 from icon library icon.icl.

2) If you just wanna change an icon for shortcut, do it as always (in properties), just don't forget, that ICL file has many icons

3) To change any filetype do this (in Windows 2000, haven't seen XP): Run Explorer-->tools-->folder options-->file types, select needful one and change it's icon (in "advanced"). You can also use any program to do this. For example, you can do it with Icon Phile.

4) Change any folders icon with a special tool, like ArtIcons, Icon Phile or smth like that. You can do it manually if you wanna f%ck a little  The same way.

5) "Hack" any program (like our favorite Foobar2K 8D) with Resource Hacker and change it's resorces (including icon files). But this doesn't work on some crap like Nero (wanted to update their icons myself, their designers are bad ).

6) Anything else... Print it on your T-shirt  Just kidding

Seems like Resource Hacker can't read .icl files (only .dll,  .exe,  .ico and .res) ?

When I try to confert the icons to .ico files in irfanview i get an annoying black background.

Any suggestions?

I also really like the mp+ icon.  But could you maybe include one that reads mp+ and mpc underneath each other in the same font?

Sure. Download Aha-Soft's Art Icons (or any more-less good icon editor) and simply extract an icon from the library.

You can edit this icon with ArtIcons. Unfortunately there's a very little space on 32x32 icons for many text

btw, guys... Is there any Speex logo?

Allright, have managed to extract the icons out of the library.  Unfortunately it seems that Foobar wont allow me to change it's icons.  I assume it only allows for 16 (4bit) colour icons for some reason.  When I replace them I get a corrupt file.  Windows tells me its not a valid win32 application.  Would have been nice though

If you could make som nice playback icons it would be great. It would be even better if they matched the golden foobar2000 icon.
E.x.: "Play/Pause", "Previous", "Next", "Stop" and "Random"

Sorry for my bad explanation.
I use shortcuts to control foobar2000, and want new icons for them.
You can see a picture of the ones I've got to the right of your golden foobar2000 icon her: desktop

If you want to make some, it would be nice, but it's all up to you.

[EDIT]
Changed the link to  desktop screenshot (same picture).
Removed question about utfs as I've figured out what it is.
