About EAC offsets

How does it work the "Offset correction" in EAC "Compression options"? How can I configure it?

That deals with drive offset
Try this one instead:

Short version: this option should normally be disabled.

Attention: Drive offset and compression offset are not the same.

The correct page should be this one (scroll down to "Encoder offsets").

For general purposes, I would stronly advise to completely disable this option as it has been reported to be the reason for various gapless playback problems in the past. MPC files for example won't be gapless if you enable it, even if the value is set to zero.

Many, many apologies.  I just saw the word "offset" and off I went.

Sorry for confusing the issue.
I'm on a horse.

if EAC recognizes your CD/DVD drive you don't have to do a thing...EAC does all the stuff for you
--alt-presets are there for a reason! These other switches DO NOT work better than it, trust me on this.
LAME + Joint Stereo doesn't destroy 'Stereo'

Again: The encoder offset has nothing to do with the drive.
