What Poses a greater social danger, wine tasting or audiophilia?

Both wine tasting and audiophilia have been proven to be BS. But is one worse than the other? I think that audiophiles pose a bigger social danger due to their tendency to deny science. What do you think?

What poses a greater danger to life on Earth?
Oxygen in the atmosphere
Nitrogen in the atmosphere

What poses a greater social danger?
The color yellow
The color purple

What the heck is a "social danger"?

Ok, be nice.

I want to know how wine tasting has been proven to be BS. Not all wines taste the same and it isn't like tasting protocols never include blinding.

Audiophila is simply a love for audio.  I'd like to think that many of our members are audiophiles. I consider myself one, at least.

So then I think we're in agreement the greatest "social danger" is posed by broad stroke generalizations being used to create an unwarranted sense of self-superiority?

Creature of habit.

As with many things in life, with wine, there are people who bullshit about it, and those who, as part of their professional qualification, are subject to strict blind testing.

As with many things in life, with audio, there are those that bullshit about it, and those that know what they are talking about.

And there are those who just enjoy wine... or music...

And my QED? What poses the greatest danger is... bullshit. Although it is not nearly as bad to step in as is dog shit. Which, in its turn, is sweet-smelling heaven compared to the stuff that humans excrete.

There are many more, this is just the taste of things (pun intended)

I don’t think I need to state on this forum why audiophilia (of the subjective kind of course) is BS. But just in case there is any misunderstanding

Your fishing skills need work.
Eating fish is BS, just do a little research with what is perhaps the best confirmation bias tool ever created: an internet search engine.

Audiophiles sacrifice kittens at full moon. Wine tasters love kittens. You decide.

Or in the case of speaker manufacturers weird published specs, for example: http://www.soundfieldaudio.net/monitor-1v2.html
where the said manufacturer states

Passive 6.5" Coax with 1/2" Supertweeter
200hz-22Khz 8 ohm impedance
85db/2.83V Sensitivity. Active 300w 8"
high excursion subwoofer 25-200Hz. True
full ranged monitor.
17"H x 10"W x 12"D

So, is one to think that your speakers have constant impedance over 200Hz-22kHz? Or are you just too lazy to publish the impedance curve or insert a line break and say that 8 ohm is nominal impedance?

We should publish a troll curve. It rises steady i guess.

I always thought beer is way better and more exclusive. I Think they are both equally dangerous, they may produce poets.

Wine testing doesn't actually include drinking.
