Hello my name Anthony. Im new to the forums. I am having some difficulty figuring the write offset for my burner in EAC. I got the read offset correct. Everytime I try to figure the write offset EAC crashes on me. Does anyone know the write offset for HP DVDRAM GT20L. This would be a tremendous help so i can burn my flac files w a .cue sheet. I dont think im going to have any luck using the offset cd-r i created. Thanks in advance and i appreciate all the useful info i have already obtained from the site!
If it helps the error eac gives me is "at utils.2060 -> INDEX-RANGE" when detecting sample offset
My read offset correction is +667. I saw in someones eac log with the same burner that the combined read write offset is 5. If that were correct would my write offset be +662?
Sorry i mean -662
Maybe a stupid idea but what about wasting one cdr and burn some. Afterwards rip again and check with CUEtools what offset the burned files have against the original files.
Ok never used cuetools but ill give it a shot. Thanks!
Use a cd you burn that verifies against AR with CUEtools. Best would be one that hasn't to much alternate offset in the database to prevent confusion.

This individual has the same drive as me. Noticed the combine offset is 5. Providing he is correct would that make the write offset: -662 (5-667)
Do you know the log is rjght? At http://www.daefeatures.co.uk (http://www.daefeatures.co.uk) you can search the HL-DT-ST drives and lots with a read offset of 667 have a write offset of 0.
That i am not so sure of. I havent had a chance to try cuetools yet. Been a busy few days at work.
Didnt see my specific drive but all the +667 had 0 as the write
Think im just going to assume the write offset is
"0". Every single +667 read offset has a write of "0" on that list
