Manual CTDB Lookup

I have a CD that I thankfully ripped to FLAC+CUE some years before it got lost in a move. Many years pass and now I am "cleaning up" my collection by labeling them with more details. Back then I didn't tag my stuff more than just to label the album and tracks. This album, "Pink Floyd - The Wall" comes in hundreds of different pressings and I'm trying to figure out which one is my rip. I have the CTDB TOCID and look that up in CTDB, but that only gives the 10 most recent CTDBID. Is there a way to see all the CTDBIDs to help with my research into the pressing?

I think I have a relatively uncommon pressing since CUETools says it's accurately ripped, but only reports 857 records for this particular version. I think this album probably has more records than 800 because other popular titles have thousands.

Please provide the CTDB TOCID. (I'd rather see the full CUETools log)

All confirmed rips for all matching pressings within range fall under the same CTDBID. There are separate CTDBIDs for identical audio data (except for 10×588 offset samples in the first and last seconds of the disc) when
  • there is a data track
  • there is a track 1 pregap
  • the pressing is out of range (too many samples apart)
Any other CTDBID is likely not to contain identical data. 

The "Detailed log" setting will help identify your CTDBID

Perhaps I just misinterpret the results from CTDB. When I access http://db.cuetools.net/?tocid=6mUC3BJW4Q1k17iuOSCixwKvykI- it says "Recent Additions" at the top and shows 10 CTDBID. My CTDBID isn't there. Next button doesn't work.

I didn't notice that modification. Thank you.

That has my CTDID at the top. I click on it and see the various matching releases at the bottom. I presume they are listed in order of frequency (meaning the top listing "Columbia C2K 36183" is the most likely match)? It makes sense because the artwork and disc scans are as I remember them.

I'm glad my disk CTDBID was at the top 10, otherwise it's impossible to find.

I think I answer my own question and top pressing is not the most common for a specific CTDBID. I try another pressing of the same album I still have CD for and the first result show the same "Columbia C2K 36183," which is not accurate in this case.

Tag your rips well, kids. If you loose the CD it looks to be impossible to ever confirm the pressing.

It appears that I can narrow it down by looking in MusicBrainz at the TOC and run lengths, but even then I am left with the possibility of three different pressings. I don't know if there's any realistic way to dig any further. I wish there was a database of CRCs (tracks or disc) and confirmed associations with specific pressings.

As far as I can tell, all of the EMI pressings are acoustically identical over the span of more than a decade. They are distinct from the Columbia pressing released in the US in 1984 in that the highs are a little more muted (can be ABX'd reliably) and the Columbia US pressing has the famous "pop" at the beginning of Comfortably Numb (something I keep in my archive, but 'repair' when making MP3/AAC/Opus tracks). If you listen really carefully with good headphones it is very clear that the Columbia mastering is a vinyl rip and not from studio master tapes. There are lots of pops and crackles that are audible.
