Cannot Setup Device

I've posted this at the EAC forum but don't seem to be getting much response so I decided to post it here.

I have a problem with EAC on my Sony VGN-FZ15G laptop. When burning a CD, after the program writes the lead-in, it gives a "Cannot Setup Device SPTI: -1,-1,-1" error.

I'm using Vista and the drive is a DVDRW AW-G540A. I don't get any errors if I use EAC to rip tracks. I don't get errors if I use Roxio to burn CDs either.

Also, can anyone tell me the difference between "No Test Write" and "Only Test Write" on the menu right before burning a CD?
