foobar and ripping

hello everyone,

in fb2k, going on files->open Audio CD...->drive settings I can select "security (conversion only)": either disabled, standard or paranoid.

I don't know, when is fb2k ripping secure? Do I have to select "standard" for secure ripping?

And is fb2k as secure as EAC?

I mostly rip my cds to FLAC. THX for advice
