Get rid of the "This is a legacy blah-blah" pop-up in the pr

Is there a way to get rid of the pop-up in the preferences "This is a legacy preferences page etc." ?

Thank you!

nope. whichever component you're using needs to be re-compiled with a foobar v1 or higher SDK.

but as you've already posted a few columns UI related threads today, this isn't going to happen. it's pretty much abandoned now.

Unfortunately I didn't understand anything you said, except for the word "nope" . Anyway, I guess that's pretty much enough on its own, thank you!

I don’t see what was hard to understand, so maybe it was due to differing languages. marc2003 deduced that, although you didn’t mention which plugin you were talking about here, it was probably Columns UI because you had posted several other threads about that. He then indicated that CUI is no longer in active development, meaning that an update is very unlikely. Indeed, the developer has not been seen here since late 2011, for some unknown reason.

No, I believe, it was not due to the language. I just couldn't figure out what CUI had to do with the pop-up window, I had no idea that there could have been a connection between the two things. However, I think, I understand now.. I hope, I understand (thanks to your post) that the annoying pop-up is kind of a part of the CUI design or something, so there's nothing we can do about it.

PS.. If it's all about CUI, then, I seem to have posted my question in the wrong place AGAIN. Sorry for that.

Thanks a LOT to all of you for your help!

It's for all old components that's not made for foobar2000 v1.0 or later.
Reminds you that what you change on those pages will be applied directly and not when pressing Apply/OK, as that was the old behavior.

It's also a reminder for component developers to update their pages to comply with the new behavior. I don't mean to bash anyone but the Columns UI developer had been disregarding this for a loooong time before he quit updating his component.

We still don’t know whether it’s “all about CUI” because you still haven’t confirmed whether CUI was the component whose preferences gave you this message.

I think he means the popup in general, regardless of which (legacy) component triggers it. It obstructs the OK and cancel buttons and thereby hinders an easy way to close the preference window (Or the way you do it out of habit when using the mouse. I know you could use escape or the top-right corner cross...) and the option to undo changes.
