3rd Party Plugins - (fb2k) / Re: ReplayGain DSP - Alternative ReplayGain implementation by Case
Last post by Case -
Your log shows the DSP working as it should for at maximum 8 tracks. And out of those 8, four (4) showed several hundred millisecond delay after the track was opened and DSP reported information. That doesn't seem normal. For me the information is reported on the same millisecond. or with a one ms delay.

For 11 tracks the DSP did nothing.

And for 5 tracks you definitely manually enabled it several seconds after the track had started.

Even when the DSP did nothing I see that it was still loaded since the gain change interpolation got triggered when it did do its work.

Only explanation I have is that for the most part the DSP chain that was in use used a preset where the processing mode is simply set to 'off'. Regretfully I did not log that case to console with the previous loggin version, here's an update: https://foobar.hyv.fi/foo_dsp_replaygain-log+2.fb2k-component.

Are you certain you don't use Dynamic DSP, Flex DSP or Playlist Attributes to mess with your DSP settings?

Issue resolved (for real this time)!!

I uninstalled f2k 64-bit and then installed the 32-bit version. And the default Opus encoder from the Free Encoder Pack is now working without any issues.

Thank you to everyone who provided input and tried to assist with resolving.

AAC / Re: QAAC on Windows 11

The new version encodes much faster now on all OSes. Looks like 32-bit reaches old 64-bit speeds and 64-bit is further improved. Though in my test scenario the peak scanning appears to have become a tiny bit slower. I wonder how that is possible.

General - (fb2k) / Ripping with Fb2k - how to get the playlist of the CD?
Last post by sonius007 -
Hi to all,

in former times I used EAC, now fb2k will be its successor

Is there any possibility to tell fb2k to create a playlist in the default while ripping? After the ripping process is finished I have to drag and drop the titles to the main window and have store  the playlist separately - a little bit annoying in the long run.

Thanks in advance.

* Pretty Maids: Try to make a tag ACCURATERIPID and give it value:
001522c7-00b94310-a60e110c
and run CUETools again. What do you get?
An alternative to this is setting 'Detailed log' to 'True' and run CUETools Verify again. This will provide info on any Track 1 'Pregap' or length of a possible 'Data track' (e.g. 14:20:55) to try in the 'Extra' section on next Verify.

3rd Party Plugins - (fb2k) / Re: [fb2k v2] Playlist Attributes (foo_playlist_attributes)
Last post by elcosomalo -
Do this:

1 In a playlist of at least 4 files, have this plugin configured to remove played/skipped.
2 start playing file one
3 delete file one (shift + delete)
4 foobar will keep playing the deleted file for a while (cache) until...

now for the bug/error/bad behaviour:

use "next"/double click/enter key on the next file selected to try to play the next file: the plugin will remove from the playlist the NEXT file (file2) immediately and play the next file (file 3). Outcome: you get file1 deleted from disk (OK), file2 deleted from the playlist (bad) and skip to the 3rd file (worse).

This creates the following problems:

A- it makes the user remove a file from the playlist without him wanting to do so (file2).
B- It makes foobar start playing a file that the user didn't want (file3).
C- the user has to ctrl+z to undo the wrong playlist deletion but when trying to play file2, file3 will be removed from playlist (we skipped it) so the user must ctrl+z again to restore it.

It is annoying.

* Walls of Jericho: I find mine in your .accurip file, and it matches in 01-13 but not in 14. If you are willing to share with me track 14, I'll check for differences.

As for cross-press verification: PerfectTunes does that both for AccurateRip v1 and AccurateRip v2.
CUETools does it only for ARv1, but you can "force" it by setting the offset manually to e.g. "271" (which is on your list for Walls of Jericho), and then run again.

But I'd be surprised if it works. My "Walls of Jericho" was ripped in the age of ARv1, so I find it in your .accurip file - and matching in 01-13 but not in 14.
