Dmitris new fast compile 20.11.2001 !

Hi all,

I tried yesterday evening the two compiles with dm xtrme preset.

I have always one 4 minutes test wav . With every new compile I test if new resulting mp3 version is the same bit for bit like the old compile.

The version 20011120 and 20011120fast result in identically mp3s with dm xtreme.

And speed has increased a lot !!!

with PIII 800 MHz:

normal: speed 1,0 to 1,5
new fast compile: speed 1,5 to 2,5

Can you tell us what you did to make this faster?  I assume it is because of different compiler optimization flags?
