I still use EncSpot daily as well as MP3Utility. I also use "mp3guessenc.exe" and "tidymp3.exe" as well. Recently I saw a new program called Mr QuestionMan. I'm wondering what else is out there for mp3 file checking?
Latest foobar2000 can tell you if a file was encoded with LAME and what setting was used (VBR profile for example).
dBPowerAmp's shell integration will tell you all that and more for ANY audio file for which you add support for via a plugin...
This is what i like the most. And Mr Questionman of course.
Audioshell Extension

Thanks for the link yulyo. I tried using this program and it worked great. However I did get some strange Windows Explorer crashes though. After awhile I had to uninstall it
Are there any alternatives for mac?
