Im using oddcastv2 with the MP3 Lame encoder. I can't tell if its is vbr or cbr, how can i tell? Is Lame just one or the other, if so which is it?
foobar2000 would tell you, or mr question man.
Lame can do both CBR and VBR. Additionally Lame can do ABR.
VBR is recommended in nearly all cases. Except streaming where sometimes you have to have predictable bitrates. There, CBR or better ABR are suitable.
