Spatial Sound Attributes

Hi everyone,

I am quite new to sound quality evaluation and I am preparing a listening test considering upmix algorithms. These turn regular stereo files into 5.1 files based on matrix decoders or adaptive algorithms. I want to base the test on attribute ratings, because there isn't a real reference to compare the upmixed files to.

Therefore I'm looking for simple attributes to describe the overall and spatial quality of sound like "natural", "stable (front) image", "emphasised highs"...

I'm open and happy about every kind of suggestions or literature tips!!!

Thanks a lot,

janeich
