Seeking Expert Advice on High-Resolution Audio Workflow & Ergonomics

Hi everyone,

Longtime lurker, first-time poster here. I’m an audio engineer transitioning from studio work to remote mastering, and I’d love to tap into this community’s expertise on two fronts:

1. Audio Setup Questions
DAC/Amp Pairing: Currently running a Topping D90LE + A90D stack for HD800S—any experience with RME ADI-2 DAC FS for critical listening? The parametric EQ seems ideal for correcting my untreated home workspace.

Sample Rate Consistency: How are you handling 96kHz vs. 44.1kHz projects without constant ASIO buffer adjustments? My current workflow (Ableton → WASAPI) introduces annoying latency jumps.

True Peak Monitoring: Any plugins that outperform Youlean’s metering for streaming normalization?

2. Ergonomic Pain Points
Posture Crisis: 12-hour sessions have turned my lumbar spine into a question mark. Recently started using an avohug massage cushion between takes—the heated shiatsu function is a lifesaver during marathon EQ sessions.

Wrist Fatigue: Anyone using vertical mice for precise fader work? The MX Vertical improved my RSI but feels sluggish on fine adjustments.

Bonus Question:
For those who’ve treated home studios—are GIK Acoustics’ scatter plates worth the premium over DIY rockwool panels for nearfield setups?

Background: Mostly work with indie artists (dynamic range >9DR still requested!). Recently diagnosed with mild tinnitus, so also exploring OSHA-compliant dB monitoring solutions.

Looking forward to your wisdom—this forum’s threads already saved me from buying a $2K "quantum-purified" USB cable last month!

It's your privilege to disagree, but that doesn't make you right and me wrong.
