I'd called it Morbis, it does great things for confusing users!
But really, I'd call it "3pm", kinda like Xvid is DivX backwards, and it's snappy and easily memorable.

I think that changing name of LAME is unnecesary cos everybody know what it is and what it is supposed to do

Oh no, we'd have to make new logos with a clock or something.
People have too much time...
And now I am gulity of that too for replying to this useless thread.
The LAME project isn't an mp3 encoder, its the code for an mp3 encoder, the LAME project doesn't produce binaries (.exe etc) So i voted keep the old one
