Subjective Evaluation of Speech Codec

Hi everyone, I was told to evaluate the intelligibility of speech files recorded by my implementation of the SPEEX codec. My instructors told me that I needed about 30 participants to perform subjective testing but they didn't give me any other details. Can anyone here tell me how to go about conducting this test? One guy mentioned something like 'DTR' testing but I'm not sure I got that right..  please help, thanks very much!
