Can sound card bass settings affect diskwriter?

My woofer gives me crazy amounts of bass, which is insanely ear punishing even
at the lowest possible setting, thus I have resorted to adjusting the bass by toning
down the low frequencies that my Audigy 2 produces ( Control Panel -> Sounds
& Audio Devices).

If decode my audio files with fb2k's diskwriter, will the resulting wavs have
reduced bass? I'd hate to have to fiddle with my soundcard everytitme I wanna
decode, so plz someone tell me it isn't so!

There is no way soundcard settings can affect diskwriter.

P.S. #8 reminder, I hope you aren't being serious here.

[edit] Regarding the overpumped bass issue, I seem to remember the stereo => 4-channel DSP causing such things on certain setups (speakers filtering bass from all 4 channels, getting double amount of it).

No offence meant, but why in gods name are you asking the same question every day?  Especially if it has been answered already.

I'm not using this DSP, nor any other.

BTW, I'm not claiming that my decoded files have any less bass,
therefore I do not see the need to refer to #8. I'm saying that I did
not know whether lowering the bass of my soundcard can have an
impact on decoding. Now I know. Thanks.
