Title: [foo_playcount] Statistics not displayed anymore since foobar update
Post by: tg2k3 on 2010-08-21 13:30:24
Hey,

i'm regularly following the foobar beta versions as my main productive system. recently the four week period was over and i was required to update. by mistake i "downgraded" by installing the official stable release of foobar. after realizing my mistake i installed the new 1.1 beta 3.

since then all my collected playcount data, i.e. playback count and rating are not displayed anymore. however, i still have a >6MB PlaybackStatistics.dat in my main directory of which i suspect that i contains all that data (at least i'm hoping).

[i should meantion that all these installs were done with the same foobar programm directory. my installation(s) always have the option to store userdata in the programm directory instead of the user directory. however i don't know if that option still exists in the current (beta) versions. somehow i don't find this option anymore in the current 1.1 beta 3. has it been removed? if so, where is my data stored? i do not have foobar directory in %appdata% (using windows 7).]

does anyone of you fellow foobar users know how to help out? you'd earn my endless gratitude.

thanks in advance.

I'm having the same problem after having accidentally downgraded as well.

how should we proceed? have you found out where the current beta version stores the playcount information?

You should backup PlaybackStatistics.dat.
The new data uses index-data\6370B286-BE93-4A7C-AA3B-281FEC61B182 in your profile.
What version of foo_playcount do you have installed now?
Are Playback Statistics shown in the Preferences > Components?
