Is there a way to automatically add Replay Gain to the track before it's played?

I imagine a plug-in that adds a Replay Gain Value (Track or Album Gain) to the track before the track itself starts playing.

I know about the awesome EBU R128 Normalizer plug-in, this would be Plan B - because if the track's volume is too low, it'll remain low. Because of this, and some other minor reasons, Replay Gain is the best choice for me in this case.

Is what I imagine possible or do you even think it's a good idea?

Hi there,

@Case made an experimental component though not sure it actually tags the track ...
