Please be aware that much of the software linked to or mentioned on this forum is niche and therefore infrequently downloaded. Lots of anti-virus scanners and so-called malware detectors like to flag infrequently downloaded software as bad until it is either downloaded enough times, or its developer actually bothers with getting each individual release allow listed by every single AV vendor. You can do many people a great favor when encountering such a "problem" example by submitting them to your AV vendor for examination. For almost everything on this forum, it is a false positive.

foobar2000 mobile / Re: mobile 1.2.17 doesn’t find my server

Same problem for me.
Just updated foobar2000 mobile to 1.2.17 on my Iphone 11 iOS 14.4.2, and no more list of my upnp/dlna servers.
Unistalled/reinstalled and checked all the network permission, too.
Problem is:
Media Server page, Local Network:
No network connected!

It should list my 3 upnp/dlna servers, instead.

My Ipad Mini iOS 14.4.2, regularly works with foobar2000 mobile 1.2.14
Whew! And I thought it was something on my end! Same issue, iOS 14.4.1 FB2K 1.2.12 and it can't find any media servers, despite mconnect and VLC having no such issues. I went through the setup multiple times, re-downloaded it twice and same issue. Hope someone finds a fix or setting because it's my go-to for much of my network streaming.

@kode54

I noticed that each time the last item played in foobar2000 is a MIDI file, the foobar2000 process isn't properly terminated on application shutdown. I then have to terminate the foobar2000 process via task manager to be able to start foobar2000 again. Playing other formats like FLAC, MP3, OPUS, OGG, WAV, and various tracker module formats the issue does not occur. This means I can play any MIDI file and shut down foobar2000 properly, as long as the last played item is NOT a MIDI file. Also, it makes no difference whether the currently played MIDI tune is stopped before shutting down foobar2000.

To verify that this isn't related to any other plugin I use, I ran foobar2000 with foo_midi as the only additional plugin. I checked with the foobar2000 releases v1.6.4, 1.6.5, and 1.6.6 beta as well as various versions of foo_midi ranging from v2.4.5 to 2.4.11. Yet the issue remains reproducible.

I'm running foobar2000 on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit 20H2 (19042.928).

It already is though:
%date% should be the original date, is it?

No need to go as extreme as the ID3 standard, which was written so as to put the recording date in those tags (that is information often not even available anymore).

In the datagrid "Date" is the date of that release (the "release-event" in musicbrainz terms). When you select a row, what will be written to the tags for %date% is again the date of that specific release, and %original release date% is the earliest release event for any release in that musicbrainz release group.

The datagrid needs to be sorted that way otherwise (in the example of the first Black Sabbath album) you'd have 30 releases all with a date of 1970 and no way to easily tell which was the 2016 Warner remaster. I'm going to add an option to always write "original release date" into the %date% field though as lots of people probably want that and don't want to copy/paste the fields manually.

Audio Hardware / Re: Seeking advice on new active speakers

Wait wait! The two of you assume a lot of things from one claim. Who said that we did not "fix" the sound later on? Who said what we listened to a final mix? Who said that the person recording didn't learn the sound of the speaker as the process went on?

Chill is what I think you two should do considering you painting a whole fictional story about incompetence etc.

P.S. Just because a speaker or microphone has a linear frequency response doesn't mean that the sound is comfortable to listen to and that can affect sound sculpturing decisions.
