Speaker Expert? Help me choose a Portable Party Speaker

So I am looking for a portable powered speaker to use at some events that we organize with friends. It is important that it is portableish, that it has decent sound, and that it is loud so that to enterntain a group of 20~50 friends.

Now, I know that trying speakers should be the way to do it, but I don't have the time to order this 5 speakers, unpack them, test them, and return the ones I don't like, so I was wondering if it is possible to determine from the specs list, the ones which should fulfil my requirements the best.

Thanks!

Well, I'm not an expert and my German isn't the best, but I don't recognize any of those brands you listed.
What I am familiar with and seems available at similar cost, is Behringer
They make decent sounding, inexpensive stuff, sourced from China of course. But with some decent engineering.
If they have one with the features/price you need...

cheers,

Thanks, I actually had that Behringer till I moved continents. It is great. Only no Bluetooth. Maybe adding one option. Thanks.

EDIT: the one I had was a 215D, so it was amplified, this one is not.

OK, it is not a PA system as far as I can see, so you need an amplifier. :(((

One thing I didn't consider is you may only need mono, not stereo?
If so, then your first link looks ok, 4 star average for quite a few reviews, for what its worth...but I can't read German, No idea on SQ there.

Yeah, mono is fine. I can't read german yet, but google chrome translates for me. ;)

After buying a few reviewed products through their reviews, I trust this site when I can't test things in person (they take no money from companies, but they do earn a commission when you click their purchase links, so take that for what it's worth):

Yeah, mono is fine.
But...   Virtually all music is stereo and you need some kind of mixer if you want to hear the sound from both channels.   If you're using a computer, there may be a way to do that in software.    You CAN'T (or SHOULDN'T) simply "short" the left & right channels together.

If any of these amplified speakers have a mixer with two line-inputs built-in you can use it.   Or, you can buy a small inexpensive mixer or you can make a simple-passive mixer with two resistors if you're handy with a soldering iron.

Personally, I'd get two speakers so everybody can hear the stereo.  ;)
