%list_index% not working in Window title/Status bar/Notification?

Hello. I tried to add the item index on the status bar (because large playlist are a hassle to find where the currently playing track is located

), but to my surprise it doesn't work

In all the years I've used foobar, this is the first time I tried it, but it didn't work on either of the options on the Default User Interface tab. I am currently using Default UI.

I noticed this on version 1.6.2 and 1.6.4.
I'm currently using Windows 10 Pro

Menu Help -> Title formatting help
"Index of the item on the list it belongs to. Applies to: playlist, list of items processed by masstagger/massrenamer, etc."

Double click on status bar.

I did read the help, but for some reason I read it as the file needs to be in a playlist... oh well, poop

Is there a reason why it doesn't work in the status bar?

And I didnt know the double click the status bar thing existed
