General Questions (search, dark mode, time settings)

Hi there 👋

First time using site in a long while...

1) There doesn't appear to be a search function for the site - can anyone confirm?

2) Is there a 'dark' theme available?

3) I set a proper time offset (-8) in my profile and saved it but it doesn't change - any suggestions?

Hi korth,

Thanks for the quick feedback and for adding the helpful details "(search, dark mode, time settings)" to the thread title.  8)

- Could've sworn the search functionality was not visible/accessible previously but can confirm that it is now available on my end. 

- No dark mode, understood.

- Re: time offset inquiry, I can confirm that it is working while composing ("Draft last saved: Today at 07:59:29 PM"),after posting and in other sections such as the profile summary...it just doesn't seem to update while within the "Look and Layout" profile settings area ("Current forum time: January 15, 2024, 04:02:17 AM").

2) I view the site in Opera. It has a setting to force dark mode on all pages. A few colors are an issue.

- Nice, been meaning to try Opera...

Two more site suggestions/requests:

- Possible to enable a "My posts" link at the top of each page or in the drop-down menu of "My Account"?

- A 'like' or 'thumbs-up' function for posts?

2) there is a 3rd party dark theme for the forum software

but I haven't suggested it to the admins because it isn't official and could be an issue in a later update.

4) Not that I know of and if it is a possible option in the forum software, only admins can make changes.

5) That's been asked. I'll see if I can find the thread.
