V2 & Android control app.

I installed the latest version of Foobar 2000, but now I can't get Foobar2000 Controller Pro to work. I have been using that for many years.

Is it a V 2 thing?

Thanks a lot Air KEN! I thought that it was impossible to use foobar2000 as a UPnP server with 64bit version since foo_upnp is x86 only. Your solution is a great workaround that works like a charm. I think I prefer it to MinimServer.

for your information

Using BubbleUPnP for DLNA/Chromecas.
foobar's Statusbar volume icon changes.

If you use BubbleUPnP for DLNA/Chromecas, it is more convenient to have License.

Thanks,

Will the previous controller client side software I installed create any problems? Should I do a clean install of Foobar 2000 v2?

Re: V2 & Android control app.

Just update foo_httpcontrol.

If it is foobar2000 v2.0 64bit, a clean install is preferable.
Or how about testing in a portable installation?

OK, thanks.
I did that, and it worked, my phone now sees it and can control it.

Unfortunately, at the same time the ASIO driver (the whole reason I started messing with foobar at all, 1.69 was working fine) failed and now says "no ASIO driver found"

I installed the ASIO component last week, and it was working, changing the sample rate as needed for my RME ADI-2 DAC FS. Now I can't get it to work... I fully uninstalled foobar and reinstalled, but no help.

It is annoying when things are such a PITA to make work.

I tried 64 bit and 32 bit, neither worked...

For now, please set only foobar2000controller + foo_httpcontrol.

Is the foobar2000controller + foo_httpcontrol problem solved?

I uninstalled it again, reinstalled the RME DACs driver, and then reinstalled. ASIO is working again, but now the controller wont work. Controller app on phone can not find specified IP address...

I will uninstall again, and install the controller component 1st, and see if it works.

I assume you can have more than 1 component installed at a time.

That didn't help. It worked the 1st time installed it as it should, but now it won't.

I'll try setting "listen on" and "start server", what do I set them to?

The laptops IP is 192.168.0.147 is that what I use?

I am thinking of going back to 1.6.9. I never tried ASIO on it, but it worked fine otherwise...

What does 2.0 do for me anyway?

Re: V2 & Android control app.

Let's leave the ASIO driver issue aside.

Possible reason:
1) wrong setting (IP address ...)
2) foo_httpcontrol_data
3) blocked by firewall

Uncheck "Start server" and click "Appy" button (repeat).
"Start server" click → Browser sign in
         ↑ Are you ready?

Prease Screen Shot (SS): foobar Preferences > HTTP Control

"Start server" click → Browser sign in

OK,

Not the wrong IP, It is 192.168.0.147. I checked it multiple times.

Not sure what you mean by " foo_httpcontrol_data", but I didn't need to do anything other than install "foo_httpcontrol_0_97_28.fb2k-component" the 1st time and it worked.

I haven't touched the firewall at all, but I double checked and Foobar is added as an exception to the firewall.
