Title: how to auto sort artists with "The" in the name
Post by: ACo on 2013-02-14 21:25:25
Just wondering if there was a trick to get bands that have "The" in the name (ex. The Beatles) to show under the second part of the name in the artist column and not have all the "The" bands lined up.

Much appreciated!!!

Not possile in the album list.

In the playlist you can sort by $stripprefix(%artist%)

Columns UI
That helps. So, in combination with the above suggestion, you can also choose to display one pattern while sorting by another. See the section headed “Use custom sort script” in the relevant page on its wiki (http://yuo.be/wiki/columns_ui:config:playlist_view:columns).
