Hello everyone,

Well, what I am trying to do (as if the title isn't obvious enough) is transcode a DVD audio track from AC3 6ch 448kbps to AC3 6ch 224kbps.

I know ffmpeg can do this. But from the searches I've done here at the forum, everyone is saying that ffmpeg is horrible for this particular purpose.

So does anyone know what I can use instead?

Freeware is good, but I also don't mind paying for something that would do the job better.

don't seems good idea AC3 6ch 224kbps    but you can use Aften or AftenGUI to your job.
