Making MP2 gapless?

When playing mp2 files made by toolame0.2l, the gapkiller (at the top of the dsp list) of foobar2000 says: 88200 samples removed from end.

This number is always the same and gapkiller does not remove any samples at the beginning at the file (no enc_delay) so I presume it must be easy to make mp2 files gapless.

How can I do this?
