by the way, there are plenty of free/open source libraries/VCLs, go to SF.net and search for turbopower and then search for Jedi

why don't simply extend (and standartize) code from
http://guerillasoft.nstemp.com/EncSpot2/encoder.html
and put it in a dll (established at sf.net)?

so, everybody will be able to develop gui front-end in his favorite lang (delphi, vb, .NET, vba, fortran and so on).

And i'll be able to develop a unix frontend for it in QT/C++ :-)
