Hi
i started several years ago to rip my cd collection
i did start with audiograbber and AudioCatalyst under w98se
quickly i changed them to cdex and eac
now honestly i don't know if my mp3 have the gapless tag
outside auduicatalyst(i use few time) i always used lame.exe
i talking about my cd collections ripped about several and several years ago
now , my problem , i don't know if they have gapless tags
i use foobar , in the properties ,there is nothing about gapless 576
when i use edit mp3 gapless playback information , some mp3 has the 576 value , other nothing
if there are not gapless , is there a free software or an editor that can trim the silence in the beginning and the end of the songs without hack the quality or add this gapless tag?
maybe that can scan my collection and find the mp3 without gapless
thanks
i would appricate it a lot
Since you use foobar2000, you can create a column that shows
[$info(ENC_DELAY) / $info(ENC_PADDING)]
then create a playlist with all your MP3 files and and sort them by this column.

This will not satisfy the OP's requirements.
Taking a step back and appealing to common sense, unless the original source material has continuous audio through track transitions there is no practical reason to need this metadata.
