Configuring the window resizing behavior on the toolbar items

I'm not sure how to coherently express this question, so please bear with me.

When I horizontally resize the foobar window, the toolbar expands with it. All items stay the same width, except one, which expands to accommodate the new width.

For example:

and resizing yields:

But I want to set the seekbar as the one that consumes the extra width, keeping the other items the same, not the VU meter.
If I remove the VU meter, then the order box becomes the one to absorb the extra width (not the volume slider as I initially expected).

Is this possible?
