I am wondering what does this Complexity option do (in TAudio Converter) ?

::) There is this Complexity check box in some of the lossy formats' encoder settings in TAudio Converter.
What significance does it have ?

Basically, leave it at 10 unless you need the encoding to run faster (and you're willing to accept slightly lower quality).

I've always been curious about the impact of this setting. How much is "slightly lower" quality? By how much would I need to increase my bitrate (percentage wise) if I decrease complexity by half.

This is interesting. Using OPUSENC in Foobar doesn't show the complexity option. Do you know if it's default set to 10 or 0?

From the 2nd post in this thread: "default: 10".
