Post by: mgiessmann1959 on 2020-05-07 12:03:18
i am a Newbie with bad english; excuse me.

in foobar I have round about 54000 titles
in mp3 tag round about 64000

in foobar, i have no excluded files in the library config.
i see flac, ape and ogg (and mp3).all the files are tagged with mp3 tag editor

where are the 10000 Titles? Do you have an idea?

Hi there,

Are you using Facets? If so it could be this issue (https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php?topic=118425.msg977321#msg977321) (multiple columns + missing tags = missing albums)

Can you attach a screenshot of your layout?

Cheers

Try temporarily removing square brackets in Preferences > Facets - just use %title% - square brackets would hide missing tags.

It could also be that tracks with the same name are being grouped together. If you right-click the 'Title' column header > Statistics > select 'Items', what is the total 'Items' count?

If you click twice on the 'Items' column to sort descending, you can see the grouped tracks at the top.

As long as the total 'Items' count is correct, this is normal. If you change the pattern for example to - %tracknumber% %title% - you might see a different count of 'Titles' but the same count of total 'Items'.

to remove the square brackets for titel does nothing (because all my files are tagged with a title

but the items columns count round about 64000, that's what mp3 tag shows
wow, so many double named

Thank you very much for the solution
