Shuffle getting stuck in a loop between short files

If you use shuffle (tracks) and foobar plays one very short file followed by another very short file (game sounds in this case), foobar will be stuck alternatively playing those two files.

This only happens when you have "playback follows cursor" enabled, leaving me to think that the file selected change takes longer time than to play through the next file, making foobar go back and play the file it had just played, while the selection changes to the other file and so on...
