Title: ACC MP3 of MPC
Post by: Bbob1970 on 2002-07-16 16:35:11
I am new to this but have read some threads and tests of various formats of which most are done at 128kbs.

I would like to store my cd collection and use either lame 3.92 mpc or psytel acc.

I would like to compress using the following format

Lame at 320 Kbs
MPC at -insane
Psytel 2.15 at - exteme

Not looking at the filesize which of the above 3 would give the best result when looking at the audio quality.

Thanks for your help

MPC. There is no point whatsoever to using -insane though. If for God-knows what reason you want to fill up your harddisks with useless information, -braindead is the better switch.

Thanks Garf but this does not answer my question, maybe I know who is braindead now.

Bbob1970 :

1. Read your question again.

2. Read Garf's answer again.

3. Try not to be rude.

That's all I'm gonna say.

Regards.

See this thread (http://www.hydrogenaudio.org/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2055).

The information in that thread is valid for all newer encoders prior to version 1.06. For 1.06, some things have changed.

OK, I officially pull back my previous post in another thread about hoping not to see a n00b flood.
