convolver 0.3 when applied sounds "too filtered"

Hi everybody:

I just have been doing what the guide http://www.duffroomcorrection.com/images/d..._Guide_v1.0.pdf says but when I am in the last step, when I applied the convolver 0.3 with my impulse response it sounds very filtered and only in the right channel, does anybody know why this could be?
I am using the foobar 2000 v.0.9.6.2 version with the 0.3 convolver and my impulse response is in 32 bit wav format. When I move the mix line until it gets like 40% it sounds quite "good", but is it not better to apply the filter in the 100% case?

Thank you very much.

P.D.: Sorry for my english.
