Where to put lame.exe so that foobar2000 can use it?

Newbie question.  I know that to convert a file to MP3 format I have to have lame.  I've donwloaded it but I don't know where to put the files so that I can convert my M4b audio files in foobar2000 to MP3 files, the only option available is WAV.  Thanks in advance for your help.

In the same directory as your foobar exe should get you going. There are better places, but they only matter if you want other programs to be able to use Lame - I think in c:\windows will do it, or probably wherever your PATH variable is set to. It's a bit odd that this isn't in the HA wiki page for Lame.

Make sure that you have downloaded the executable lame.exe and not the source files.
