I'm fairly new to audio so sorry if this is a basic question, but I'm wondering what settings people use for Creative sound cards, particularly regarding headphones vs surround. I use headphones, but what exactly does the program do when I switch to one of the surround setups? It doesn't feel like sound is being cut, and if anything the sound does feel "wider," even though I'm still using a stereo mp3 file with headphones.
The other settings are a bit more self explanatory, but if there's anything relevant you can think of please let me know. Sometimes I use preset EQs when listening to music but besides that most of it is left at default.
