Looks awesome, unfortunately I can't use it: the bundled genpuid program (for linux) is a 32-bit executable, and I'm running a 64-bit system (i.e. with 64-bit only binaries).

Are you saying that you can't run 32-bit binaries or that you don't want to?  If it is an x86_64 AMD platform then there should be no problem.  I'm sure you could make an exception in just the one case.  I don't know that there is a 64-bit version of this binary, perhaps Paul knows?

No, I mean I can't, unless I compile a whole 32-bit support system (base libraries), which is just not worth it given the only thing I really miss is Flash. It's too bad really, because that one element ruins Java's portability (java apps run fine on my 64-bit system, including Jaikoz Audio Tagger).

Thanks for letting me know about this issue - I wasnt aware of it, I have requested a 64 bit version of Genpuid here
http://forums.musicip.com/index.php?showtopic=3477
but cant see it happening any time soon.

I wanted to keep Jaikoz 100% Java, but there was no alternative for genpuid. However loss of this one function whilst fustrating doesnt stop use of Jaikoz completely , or prevent Musicbrainz metamatching.
