Please be aware that much of the software linked to or mentioned on this forum is niche and therefore infrequently downloaded. Lots of anti-virus scanners and so-called malware detectors like to flag infrequently downloaded software as bad until it is either downloaded enough times, or its developer actually bothers with getting each individual release allow listed by every single AV vendor. You can do many people a great favor when encountering such a "problem" example by submitting them to your AV vendor for examination. For almost everything on this forum, it is a false positive.

General - (fb2k) / Way to bulk delete Music files from Foobar and Hardrive at the same time?
Last post by ObamaBinBush -I tend to use Foobar a lot to organise and edit Tags so would like to be able to bulk delete files from my Hardrive from within it as well as navigating to specific location on Hardrive for each Tune using 'right click/navigate to containing folder 30 times is nonsense.

Mp3Gain might get a problem if you reduce volume by -212 dB and increase volume by 172 dB according to this post: https://hydrogenaud.io/index.php?topic=34154.msg299025#msg299025
But seriously who does that except out of curiosity or as proof of concept?

Development - (fb2k) / Foobar2000 for Mac: Equalizer refinement
Last post by rongjiang -As I understand, "This application is provided as-is. It is by no means complete, though most of the features implemented are known to work reasonably well", can we have labeling for the equalizers in the next version to come? I don't have the best ears, and really couldn't figure out to what extent is a band amplified/limited until it clips or becomes inaudible. It would really help if we could have them up on the sides.

Last post by jaybeee -2. you can apply those Replaygain tags to the actual file thereby altering the file's volume; software/hardware isn't necessary to implement the volume changes.
The image is from process #2 above. It's actually changing the file's data. That means it isn't a lossless process. But it's not lossy in the sense that we tend to understand it; it hasn't re-encoded the audio.

I don’t get, the label in in the conversion dialog says explicitly that files will be altered.
If it means anything other than making files louder (or quieter), then this label is misleading.
