Trying to add some new songs to Foobar

trying to add some new songs to Foobar - haven't done it in a while. Do I need to add them to the Foobar library first ?
I tried the tab add files, but it won't take them directly from my music folder

i am no expert but try library tab than down to configure

Create an autoplaylist. Add audio files to Media Library (to the folder monitored) and the tracks will automatically appear in autoplaylist.
