Long desciptions in a field

What's the best field to use for long descriptions, think close to a page, in Columns UI ?  I like how the popup comes on when you hover the mouse over a field, however it is not capable of displaying real long text, and the popup disappears after a few seconds. Any solutions?
I'm using foobar2000 v2.0 beta 24 [64bit]

I added the items details panel and added the following line in options "$crlf()[%FIELD%]" This displays the contents of FIELD, very nicely. Is it possible to edit FIELD directly in the items details panel? This would make things a hundred times easier since it's hard orienting yourself in the little field box in columns UI. For example if you make a typo or have to go back and edit something it's a pain in the ass if you have written a whole page. As of now I write that in a separate text document and copy it over, but I have to do this type of thing many times, so it would be a lot easier to write straight into the items details panel and maybe connect it somehow to a spellchecker.
