I see ... a demo player as reference may not be as optimal as a verbose specification though (and who knows, maybe even incomplete on purpose?).
I searched a little for "Symphonie module documentation / specification" but did not yet find them. Found a github repo of "compileable" sources at most. So it seems chances are that the player which allowed Nikol Nazarov to record MP3s from these modules is more elaborate than your OpenMPT module's source.
Shall I make a new issue on the tracker, linking the samples there as well?
PS: I tried to write Patrick Meng an email. But the bluewin address failed.
The issue is totally on my end, and I apologize to everyone, and I appreciate everyone looking into this issue.
It turns out that the issue occurs with my screen magnification software, which is called ZoomText.
Closing down the software wasn't enough, I had to uninstall it completely, and then use the Windows built in magnifier so I could at least try encoding again.
This time @Case last binary he uploaded worked perfectly.
I had tried uninstalling Process Lasso, AVG Internet Security, and then because the issue seemed to be with the way things were updating on the screen so slowly (If not at all), I decided to try and uninstall Zoomtext.
Still, I wonder why @JoshuaChang version doesn't cause this issue, and his clang binary has been the fastest by far with @Case version being second (the latest 64 bit build he uploaded to this thread).
Anyway, I just wanted to say I'm so sorry for driving people crazy and have everyone go through hoops to try and help me troubleshoot the issue.

When saving multiple covers from the same source, there is a dialog that pops up:
Is there a way to format "Options"> "Save images to" to avoid this pop-up by saving successive images with "%n" appended to filename? I've tried using %size% and %type%, but often the files have the same. Thanks.

I don't know if Klymins is familiar with this, but this Arduino Audio Tools collection makes it look like there are ready made libraries to get pretty much everything working on Arduino.

Not sure there is much to be done about SymMOD. I found https://bugs.openmpt.org/view.php?id=672 which shows that the format author has published Amiga assembler sources and a Java player. The Java player, which was used as a source to create the decoder, also plays these files as mono.

Rockbox.org comparison, only one single test of ADPCM, but: FLAC being 80 percent faster. Than "Intel 4-bit IMA-ADPCM (adpcm-xq)", tested on Sansa Fuze+. Is that IMA-ADPCM heavier than I thought, or just not so well optimized?
