Album list: left-clicking on certain entries crashes foobar2000

As soon as I left-click certain entries (albums) in the album list, foobar2000 crashes. The only commonality between the respective albums is that certain field values contain kanji.

  • This does not invariably happen with all albums where certain fields contain kanji.
  • This does not happen when I expand the respective albums and left-click on their tracks.
  • All albums where this happens are in ALAC format.

As an example, with one album I have narrowed down a culprit. In my BAYONETTA 2 album there is this track:

X

If I remove the 3rd kanji from the track title 暴走特急, foobar2000 no longer crashes when I left-click on the album in the album list.

I'm using version 2.7 preview 2024-08-22.

Thanks for the bug report.
Please install today's build (2024-08-29).
Crash it again.
Open Mac OS "console" app (Launchpad >> type "Console"), Crash Reports section, locate latest foobar2000 crash and attach to a forum message or post contents.
Microsoft Windows: We can't script here, this is bat country.
